What's the role
The role requires a competent mechanical professional to ensure effective work execution. You will need to work with Safe Systems of Work, including P-Vision and Maintenance Assurance, and be able to navigate our CMMS (SAP). Experience in participating in projects such as Turnarounds or other small maintenance activities will be an advantage. This is a great opportunity to join a strong team in an exciting growth asset.
What you'll be doing
As a Mechanical Maintenance Technician, with extensive experience in a mechanical environment and mechanical trade qualifications, you will be a key member of the Maintenance Team, influencing a wide range of work execution on site.
Responsibilities include:
HSSE
1. Visibly demonstrate Safety Leadership and support site leadership in delivering HSSE essentials.
2. Actively contribute to the site HSSE plan through engagement and completion of assurance activities.
3. Ensure compliance with all legislation across the mechanical maintenance discipline.
4. Responsible for safe preparation and execution of all maintenance activities on site within the mechanical discipline.
5. Responsible for the effective individual competency management ensuring all items are up to date.
6. Support delivery of the management of change process.
7. Required to be part of the site emergency response team.
Stakeholder Management
1. Engagement with the Kaefer Site teams to ensure effective delivery of the maintenance support trades e.g. scaffolding, insulation & rigging.
2. Engagement with the Site Engineering Lead to coordinate deviations and eMoC's to ensure effective management of risk and change control.
3. Strong communication and coordination with Production Operations team to ensure safe handover and delivery of Mechanical Maintenance Tasks.
Technical Assurance
1. Key responsibilities within the asset TAR readiness, execution and statement of fitness processes.
2. Strong understanding of mechanical maintenance processes and support designated site process focal point for PME in the AMS Process.
3. Understanding of COMAH site regulations and their associated interaction with maintenance delivery.
4. Responsible for the sustainment of key maintenance qualifications and competence of themselves.
5. Working in conjunction with the IAP planner to prepare the short-term (90-day) and very-short-term (28-day) Integrated Activity Plan.
6. Support delivery of IAPS continuous improvement journey, ensuring delivery of site plan.
Contract Management
1. End user of maintenance contracts ensuring cost effective delivery of all aspects of maintenance contracts and use of vendors.
What you bring
Technical Skills
1. Proven to significant years of experience with a suitable technical HNC/D & Mechanical NVQ lvl3 or equivalent.
2. Must be self-motivated, have good communication skills, a high degree of self-reliance with appropriate technical skills, to ensure prompt responses are made based on mature technical judgement. Flexibility to adapt to constant change is essential to enable the incumbent to work in a highly motivated and empowered environment.
3. Continuous Improvement mind-set with a desire to improve the process and make it more efficient, as well as an ability to problem solve and take ideas through to completion.
4. Flexibility on work hours will be necessary owing to operational requirements especially during Turnarounds.
5. 100% FLBM Competency dependent on discipline.
