We are looking for an experienced and influential Plant Manager to lead and manage all aspects of manufacturing production. Ensuring that required standards and performance is achieved at all times including SHE, process safety, quality, production output, inventory accuracy and realisation, cost and people. More about the role As Plant Manager you will define, agree and implement in year objectives and plans to support delivery of the manufacturing strategy for your plant area of responsibility. You will contribute to the development of manufacturing strategy. Reporting to the Site Manager you will co-develop and agree the production plans for plant areas via integrated business planning; optimise manufacturing activities and resources to ensure delivery of production plans to required standards and timescales. You will prepare, monitor and manage plant budgets in line with the agreed business plans. You will lead and develop a highly effective and competent team through coaching, engagement and empowerment. Your experience We are looking for someone with significant, proven experience of managing multiple relevant manufacturing/plant operations; with in-depth working knowledge of the range of disciplines relevant to manufacturing areas including process safety, SHE management, process engineering, maintenance and finance. You will also have working knowledge of relevant regulatory and legislative requirements and standards relevant to assets and overall manufacturing facility as well as regulatory governance, COMAH, loss of human life and environmental impact. Our ideal candidate will have experience of effectively leading and managing multi-disciplinary teams, operating in a fast paced, demanding environment with the ability to reconcile and prioritise conflicting demands. The Plant Manager must have excellent personal organisation and time management skills and be an effective communicator at all levels. You will have a strong aptitude for root cause analysis and trouble-shooting operational issues with a data driven approach to problem solving. A degree in relevant engineering or science discipline or relevant experience is essential.
