Autism Anglia is a well-established independent charity. We have an exciting opportunity available for an Operations Manager on a fixed-term contract of 3 months, full-time. The successful candidate will work closely with the Adult Services Director to ensure an integrated, quality service.
As a member of the Management Team, the Operations Manager will assist the Senior Leadership Team in supervising and supporting staff in positive behaviour and good working practice.
This role is well suited to a manager with experience in the healthcare sector, offering strong knowledge and proven leadership skills. Experience working with autism and learning disabilities is essential.

Adult Services
Autism Anglia's Adult Services provide specialist support to adults aged 18 and over across residential, supported living, outreach programmes, and opportunity centres. Supporting those within the autism spectrum, some with additional learning disabilities, our holistic approach encourages adults to develop new skills, create opportunities, and build confidence to live more independently in the community.
The Role
1. Reporting directly to and supporting the Director of Adult Services in the day-to-day operational and strategic management of the division.
2. Leading and positively influencing managers and staff to ensure exceptional care and the safe running of services.
3. The Operations Manager will work flexibly across East Anglia to ensure a consistent approach, including shared working between Area Managers.
4. Working with the Director of Adult Services to evaluate and enhance services, working towards the development of new provisions and overseeing them upon completion.
5. Collaborating with other Area Managers to oversee specific areas such as residential, supported living, outreach, and Opportunity Centre services.
6. Managing, developing, and reviewing the performance of Managers within Adult Services, including staff supervision and appraisals, and identifying training needs.
7. Staying updated with relevant legislation, regulation, and statutory guidance to ensure compliance.
8. Providing effective leadership to deliver high-quality, safe, and person-centred services.
9. Promoting a culture of continuous improvement and reflective practice, emphasizing communication and teamwork.
10. Building effective relationships at all levels and fostering cross-service collaboration for best practices and outcomes.
11. Overseeing the review and update of documentation such as risk assessments, support plans, MCA, safeguarding, and DOLS, ensuring proper signing and escalation of concerns.
Applications Are Welcome From Deputy Managers With The Following
1. Holding or working towards a Diploma in Health and Social Care Level 4 or 5.
2. Holding or working towards a Management and Leadership Qualification.
3. Previous experience as a Registered or Operations Manager with people management responsibilities.
4. Knowledge and understanding of working with autistic individuals or those with learning disabilities.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy, compassion, and resilience to lead, manage, support, and motivate staff.
It is essential that the applicant holds a full driving license.
