Advantage Truck Group (ATG) has an opportunity for an experienced Warranty Administrator. The Warranty Administrator is responsible for the efficient and accurate processing of all warranty claims for trucks serviced at the dealership. This includes reviewing repair orders, submitting claims to manufacturers, following up on claim status, and resolving any claim discrepancies. The Warranty Administrator plays a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining positive relationships with manufacturers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Review and Process Warranty Claims: Examine repair orders and supporting documentation to verify eligibility for warranty coverage.
2. Submit Claims: Accurately prepare and submit warranty claims to manufacturers in a timely manner, following their specific guidelines and procedures.
3. Track and Follow Up: Monitor claim status, communicate with manufacturers to address any questions or concerns, and resolve claim rejections or discrepancies.
4. Maintain Records: Organize and maintain accurate records of all warranty claims, repair orders, and related correspondence.
5. Communicate with Customers: Update customers on the status of their warranty claims and address any inquiries or concerns.
6. Collaborate with Service Technicians: Work closely with technicians to ensure repair orders are complete and accurate, and provide any necessary information for warranty claims.
7. Stay Informed: Keep up-to-date on manufacturer warranty policies, procedures, and any changes or updates.
8. Other Duties: Assist with other administrative tasks in the service department as needed.
Qualifications
1. Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Experience: Previous experience in warranty administration, automotive or diesel service, or a related field is preferred.
Skills:
1. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
2. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
3. Effective written and verbal communication skills.
4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
5. Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer applications.
6. Knowledge of heavy-duty truck repair and maintenance is a plus.
Physical Demands
1. Primarily sedentary work, but may require occasional lifting, bending, and reaching.
2. Ability to sit for extended periods.
Work Environment
1. Office environment within a busy truck dealership.
2. May be exposed to noise and fumes from the service area.
