The Role
:
As a Semi Senior Tax Accountant, you will prepare a variety of accounts, including those for companies, self-employed individuals, and rental properties.
Responsibilities:
1. Handle personal and company tax returns.
2. Learn and adapt to new software packages as needed.
3. Assist in preparing and reviewing financial statements and reports.
4. Support the month-end and year-end close processes.
5. Conduct variance analysis and report findings to senior management.
6. Monitor and reconcile bank statements and financial transactions.
7. Maintain and update accounting records and documentation.
8. Promptly liaise with HMRC to address tax queries.
9. Participate in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and support.
10. Collaborate with outsourced teams to ensure accurate and timely deliverables.
11. Communicate effectively and professionally with clients via phone, email, and letters.
Requirements:
12. Previously worked as a Tax Accountant or in a similar role.
13. At least 5 years of accountancy practice experience.
14. ACCA part qualified.
15. Excellent communication and organisation skills.
