Accounts Assistant (full or part time) - Truro / Newquay area - £Negotiable DOE
Note: This employer's offices are currently based on the outskirts of Truro but are likely to move to the Indian Queens/St Columb area during the next six months.
Trial Balance Consulting is delighted to have been exclusively engaged by a highly successful and rapidly growing bespoke construction business seeking to recruit an experienced Accounts Assistant to join the team on a permanent, onsite basis ASAP. The role is offered on either a full or part-time contract arrangement, between 3-5 days per week.
This is a brand-new role working with a friendly, experienced team in modern offices with free onsite parking. The business has an exceptional reputation in their sector and promotes a family feel environment with good opportunities for career development.
Responsibilities:
1. Management of the accounts payable function
2. Reconciliation of supplier statements
3. Acting as a first point of contact for supplier queries
4. Preparing supplier payment runs and submitting remittance advice
5. Compilation of sales reports
6. Assist in VAT preparation and reporting
Minimum Requirements:
For this role, we’re seeking an Accounts Assistant with at least 12 months of recently gained experience in a similar environment (construction sector experience desirable but not essential). Our client is more focused on general attitude and team fit than on the status of qualifications, so candidates that are either part/fully AAT or QBE are most welcome to apply. Previous experience of using Sage would be advantageous but not essential as full training will be provided. Likewise, exposure to the CIS scheme would be useful but not a pre-requisite.
