Our client is a dynamic, fast-growing real estate investment company and plays a pivotal role in expanding their loan book. They are seeking a Business Development Manager/Director to help build their reputation as a trusted lender in the residential property market.
About the Company:
This is a new, rapidly expanding private real estate investment firm that evolved from a successful family office. They specialise in providing financing solutions for property owners and investors, focusing on residential loans ranging from £500k to £5m, including bridging, refurbishment, acquisition, and development finance. With a strong track record in property acquisition, management, and lending, they offer the agility of a startup combined with deep industry expertise.
The Role:
As a Business Development Manager/Director, you will drive the growth of the loan portfolio by sourcing new business, managing client relationships, and overseeing the entire loan origination process. You’ll work closely with brokers, borrowers, and internal teams to ensure smooth transactions and deliver excellent service.
Key Responsibilities:
* Business Development: Cultivate new business opportunities with brokers, intermediaries, and direct borrowers. Build and maintain a strong network within the property sector.
* Loan Origination & Management: Source and evaluate residential loan opportunities. Originate loans, ensure alignment with lending criteria, and manage the process through to completion.
* Client Relationship Management: Maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients. Provide outstanding customer service and ensure smooth loan processing.
About You:
You will be an ambitious, motivated individual with a proven track record in property lending or brokerage. You have an established network, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to build long-term relationships. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are committed to exceeding targets.
Key Qualifications:
* Proven success in business development or loan origination in the alternative lending or property finance sectors.
* Established network of brokers and borrowers.
* Strong knowledge of UK property market regulations and alternative lending products.
Skills:
* Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
* Highly organised with excellent time management.
* Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Excel.
