We are looking for a highly motivated, forward-thinking individual to become part of our committed team who work in the Cardio-Respiratory Department as an Assistant Technical Officer. You will be proficient in a range of investigations, performing ECG, Blood Gas analysis, Ambulatory Monitor Hook Up, etc. An Enhanced DBS with barred lists for both Adults & Children is required for this post.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform ECGs throughout the Trust - wards, clinics, A & E and other departments
* Cardiac monitoring during clinical procedures, e.g., cardioversions, carotid sinus massage, and valsalva manoeuvres
* Conduct basic spirometry and Peak Flows
* Perform arterial blood gas analysis
* Measure non-invasive BP
* Conduct blood glucose measurements
* Manage Holter monitoring, 24 hr ambulatory ECG & BP hook up
* Actively participate in cardiac arrests
* Participate in audit collection
* Clean and maintain equipment, reporting any faults to a senior physiologist
