Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Facilities Manager to join our team. Your expertise will be vital in providing a safe and efficient working environment for our people by managing essential services and facilities.
This role offers you the opportunity to make an impact across several sites and provide leadership to the Facilities Maintenance Technician. You’ll lead the team to drive operational excellence and be involved in strategic initiatives to reduce supplier operating costs, ensuring we achieve the best value.
The role will involve travel across several sites within the home counties.
How you'll make an impact
* You'll be overseeing a Facilities Management Technician and ensuring consistent facilities management across multiple offices, including those integrated through mergers and acquisitions.
* Acting as a primary point of contact for facilities-related issues, including health and safety, equipment faults, cleanliness, maintenance, security, and emergencies.
* Ensuring site compliance with legislation, codes of practice, security, and health & safety regulations through inspections, training, and drills.
* Coordinating emergency and security responses, including power outages, leaks, evacuations, and medical emergencies, where necessary outside business hours.
* Effectively communicating with internal stakeholders to promote the Facilities department within the organisation, gathering feedback to improve service delivery and enhance customer experience.
* Managing effective external supplier relationships to uphold high performance standards and achieve cost savings through innovation.
* Overseeing maintenance programs to extend building component lifecycles and reduce risks.
* Delivering projects related to space management, energy and waste management, and mechanical/electrical infrastructure.
About You
* Experience of managing people.
* Facilities management experience within a multi-site environment.
* Ability to manage supplier relationships and costs effectively in line with budget.
* Knowledge of health & safety requirements, building systems HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety.
* Proficiency in maintenance scheduling, CAFM, asset management tools.
* Proven track record of managing operations in commercial office spaces, preferably headquarters.
* Full UK driving license.
* Eligible to work in the UK.
