Hardware Trade Counter Assistant
This is an exciting opportunity to join a family-owned builders' merchant as they open a new Tottenham based store in March 2025.
As a Hardware Trade Counter Assistant, you will be the first point of contact for customers, providing expert advice, processing transactions, and ensuring the smooth operation of the trade counter.
Requirements:
1. Working 48.5 hours per week, shifts between 6am-5pm Monday-Friday, and alternate weekends.
2. Excellent customer service.
3. Knowledge of hardware and building materials is desired.
4. Good interpersonal skills, confident and able to approach customers.
5. Ability to work effectively as part of a busy team.
6. The ability to prioritise responsibilities under pressure and be self-motivated.

Responsibilities:
1. Greet and assist our customers in a friendly and professional manner.
2. Assisting with deliveries in and out of the store.
3. Dealing with any telephone queries effectively and communicating with customers and colleagues.
4. Ordering goods.
5. Respond positively and effectively to customer's needs.
6. Assist in the company stock counts.
