Site Agent - Bridges & Infrastructure Projects About the Role: A leading civil engineering company specialising in bridge and infrastructure maintenance is looking for an experienced Site Agent to oversee a range of bridge projects across the UK. If you have a strong background in bridge works - particularly concrete repair, structural painting, and steel structures - this is an exciting opportunity to take on a leadership role in project delivery. Role Overview: As a Site Agent, you will be responsible for the overall management of site operations, ensuring that projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires extensive experience in bridge maintenance and refurbishment and a solid understanding of construction processes, with a focus on health and safety, team leadership, and project coordination. Key Responsibilities: ·Lead and manage site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure efficient project delivery. ·Oversee all bridge-related activities, including concrete repairs, structural painting, steelwork, coating, jacking, scaffolding, grit blasting, and structure renovations. ·Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations on-site (SMSTS qualification required). ·Drive project progress, ensuring work is completed on schedule and within budget. ·Act as the key point of contact between site teams, project managers, and clients. ·Manage and monitor site resources, including materials, plant, and labour, to maximise efficiency. ·Implement and enforce quality control measures across all aspects of the project. ·Identify and resolve on-site issues swiftly and effectively. ·Prepare and deliver progress reports to senior management. Skills & Qualifications: Essential: ·Valid CSCS Card. ·SMSTS qualification. ·Proven experience as a Site Agent or in a similar leadership role within bridge maintenance or civil engineering. ·Strong knowledge of health & safety regulations and site management best practices. ·Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. Desirable: ·Experience in concrete repair, structural painting, steelwork, coating, jacking, scaffolding, grit blasting, or similar works. ·Knowledge of bridge maintenance materials and processes.
