Job Description
* Understanding the title, planning and all other relevant documents and advising on all areas of property law relating to new build developments and existing residential properties.
* Carrying out legal work required for asset management of a shared ownership property portfolio, including staircasing of shared ownership leases, dealing with repossessions of shared ownership leases, and acting on assignments of shared ownership leases.
* Carrying out legal reviews of title, planning, estate documents, and drafting contracts and transfers.
* Carrying out legal work relating to the strategic asset management of the businesses property portfolio.
The Successful Applicant
A successful 'Legal Counsel' should have:
* To hold a valid Practising Certificate (or equivalent).
* 0-2 years + PQE working within a law firm, in-house legal department, housing association or local authority.
* Strong understanding of Landlord and Tenant law and substantial experience of drafting residential leases
* Experience of working with Developers is desirable
