We are looking for a Chef to join our Clubhouse team Reporting to: Clubhouse Manager. Responsibilities include: Preparing menus for players in all age groups through consultation with the Clubhouse Manager and the various team managers; Preparing high-quality players meals and light meals / snacks for our players, members and visitors; Preparing light meals and snack items, for across-the-counter sales on club operational days; Catering for private functions and occasional large functions; Maintaining adequate, in-date stock levels; Maintaining up to date statutory records as required by Surrey Health Department; Attend to allergens and vegetarian / vegan requirements; Ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area; Training and supervising a small team of part-time assistants required for busy shifts; Assisting the management and committee with initiatives to develop new revenue streams Carrying out any reasonable request from the Clubhouse Manager Requirements and skills Proven work experience as a Chef or Cook for this hands-on role Working knowledge of culinary, baking and pastry techniques, including batch cooking Must be self-motivated Ability to remain calm under pressure Excellent time management abilities Good personnel management and leadership skills Flexibility of work pattern and weekly hours required, due to unpredictable changes in rugby fixtures, resulting in games being carried-over.
