About us The Climate Risk Group is a company committed to quantifying and communicating the costs of climate change. Our mission is to influence decision-makers – large and small – towards action that directs global capital away from climate change-related activities and towards a zero carbon, high resilience economy. The Role Our Strategic Partnerships and Reseller team form a significant part of our hyper-focus in Asia and Europe over the past 2 years. Through our commercial partnerships, XDI data can reach a wider market segment in a broader set of applications. As Climate Change Project Manager, you will join a globally distributed team of Partnerships Business Development, Customer Success, and Data Product Specialists whose knowledge and expertise deliver exceptional insights and value to our customers, including global and domestic banks, asset managers, insurance and finance regulators, management advisory, data providers, and risk and sustainability consultants. Utilising your exceptional skills in stakeholder management and project management in a B2B environment, you will take ownership of developing and nurturing effective client relationships. You will work with our collaborative cross-functional team based in the UK and Australia, including Data, Product, Science, and Technology specialists, to ensure client satisfaction through the effective implementation and management of both existing and future technical projects. You will closely engage with our clients to ensure that their needs are met. You will support them with technical issues, data interpretation, and end-user requirements. You will also work to deepen engagement for further solutions to complex problems, contributing to global efforts for a low-carbon economy and climate-resilient communities. Key Accountabilities Work closely with the Strategic Partnerships Lead to understand and embrace the strategic rationale of projects and clients Lead on client-facing and technical projects, ensuring delivery of quality outcomes on time and within agreed budget parameters. Work with new and long-term high-value clients to deliver agreed project outcomes and maintain positive ongoing relationships. Create and follow project plans, and manage multiple project elements, including project interdependencies. Identify and resolve or escalate issues and risks, report on project progress, and offer viable solutions. Support Data Product Specialists to streamline project deliverables Oversee all incoming and outgoing project documentation for the projects you lead. Identify and progress new opportunities with existing clients and new clients. Work with the Product teams on emerging client needs, and opportunities to increase efficiency with clients' feedback. Nurture relationships by developing a deep understanding of clients, their markets, and their challenges and needs as possible growth within the role. Capabilities and Experience Sought After A deep passion to deliver solutions that elevate the client experience through industry leading analytical solutions. Tertiary degree in STEM, working background in maths/science/engineering/climate 5 years of experience in climate tech or fintech, and B2B SaaS - consulting Ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Demonstrated project management expertise, bringing together every component of a project, including resources or planning, that are needed to complete it in a timely manner. Ability to 'translate' client questions to analytical questions to solve. Exceptional collaboration skills, working with others and with other functions (tech, science, sales, analytics) to increase productivity, share ideas, develop solutions to achieve a common goal, and maintain healthy relationships. Outstanding (written and oral) communication skills and an ability to convey complex scientific and technical narratives with accuracy, and nuance, and to lead productive, positive, and outcome-driven discussions Natural aptitude for thinking laterally and forward, solving problems through a creative and indirect approach, and providing options while looking beyond immediate tasks to consider long-term impact. Emotional intelligence allowing you to understand the situations of people on the client side and internal teams, including helping these people manage high-stress environments when they occur. Able to spot opportunities to “shift the dial on climate change” across collaborations, products, messaging, research, or any other vehicle supporting the organisation’s vision and values.
