We require a dedicated individual to work within a team and to carry out a variety of driving duties.
The duties comprise site collections of waste, including waste compound management, laundry, supplies, and specimen collections from local GPs/hospitals, and supporting COVID patients in South Yorkshire, North Derbyshire, and Lincolnshire.
We are looking for individuals who are good communicators, with the ability to use their own initiative to support exceptional levels of customer service. Any applicants should have relevant experience of driving commercial vehicles and carrying out delivery duties.
Applicants should be educated to GCSE grade D or above (or equivalent qualification/experience) and have a full clean driving licence. Licences issued after 01/01/1997 will require the following categories in addition to the standard licence – B+E, C1, and D1.
Two part-time positions available - 25 hrs per week and 30 hrs per week.
* The collection of waste carts from collection points on the northern general site and transport to a central compound area. To empty the carts using the equipment provided, collection of carts for washing, distribution of clean carts to appropriate areas.
* The collection of sacks of dirty linen from Trust buildings/areas to Laundry.
* Delivery of sacks of clean linen to appropriate Trust buildings/areas.
* Delivery/collection of stores and supplies to all areas of the hospital sites.
* Collection and delivery of samples and drugs including isotopes, and delivery/collection of mail/supplies to/from doctor’s surgeries and various clinics in Sheffield and surrounding areas.
* To drive the hospital courtesy bus when required, transporting staff, patients, and visitors.
* Delivery and collection of equipment and small items of furniture on and off site.
* Delivery and collection of medical notes.
* Collection of cages and transport to recognised collection points.
