Robert Half Finance & Accounting are delighted to be supporting a highly reputable client in recruiting a Finance Assistant to join. This is an excellent role for someone who is early on in their Finance & Accounting career looking to learn and develop. For the right person, the client is offering:
Up to £28,000 plus excellent benefits
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts for various companies
2. Reconciliation of inter-company payments as well as sales ledger
3. Preparation of quarterly VAT returns
4. Bank reconciliations in support of the month end process
5. Oversee sales ledger, including preparing invoices for monthly reporting process, as well as customer reports
6. Prepare all payments and act as first point of contact for all payment queries
7. Other ad hoc tasks and duties as required by the finance manager
Person specification:
8. Some experience in a similar role, ideally some invoicing
9. Ideally working towards AAT qualification
10. Excellent communication skills
11. Positive can-do attitude
12. Good time management and organisation, able to work effectively to deadlines
