MELD Job Vacancy: Admin Worker
Location: The Esk Centre Recovery Hub, Musselburgh & No 11, Dalkeith
Hours: Full-Time (35 hours) / Part-Time (17.5 hours) – Flexible working or job-share options available
Salary: £20,900–£23,367 per annum (pro-rata for part-time), subject to increase in April 2025
Leave Entitlement: 39 days (inclusive of public holidays) + your birthday off!
At Mid and East Lothian Drugs (MELD), we’re dedicated to supporting individuals on their recovery journey. We’re looking for an organised and motivated Admin Support Worker to join our team. If you're a proactive individual who thrives in a supportive and dynamic environment, this role is perfect for you.
As an Admin Support Worker, you’ll play a vital role in keeping our operations running smoothly. Your responsibilities will include:
• Providing comprehensive admin support to MELD managers and staff.
• Managing correspondence, reports, and filing systems.
• Responding to incoming queries and requests for information appropriately.
• Organising meetings, taking minutes, and coordinating events.
• Handling client information via our case management system and national database.
• Supporting basic IT and finance systems.
• Supporting the management of MELD’s social media and website.
• Contributing to quality improvements and service enhancements.
Our ideal candidate is:
• Organised, flexible, and able to manage a varied workload.
• A great communicator who works well independently and within a small team.
• IT proficient, with a basic understanding of financial systems.
• Non-judgemental, with a genuine interest in understanding issues around drug and alcohol use.
