We are looking for a volunteer to spend a morning/afternoon in our Head Office in Belfast - Curlew Pavilion, Portside Business Park, Airport Road West, Belfast, BT3 9ED - on a fortnightly basis, putting together these boxes as required. Free parking on site. A suitable shift pattern can be discussed following application as anytime Mon-Thurs will work well for this role.
Volunteer Role for Daisy Boxes
The role would consist of the following duties:
* Checking Email for Daisy Box Requests and inputting these onto Word Document
* Labelling Daisy Box inside and out
* Putting together all the items to be included in the Daisy Box according to the family make-up and ages of children, including literature and books
* Preparing the Boxes for Posting, e.g., wrapping in brown paper with address and leaving with reception
* Recording onto Word Document the date which the Daisy Box has been sent
* Preparing in advance packs to be added to Daisy Box as per child's age
* Keeping an inventory of stock and ordering via email from Services Admin when stock is running low
PLEASE NOTE - Creation of Daisy Boxes can be somewhat ad-hoc due to the nature of the service, and there may be particular weeks where no boxes are outstanding. If this is the case, we will contact you the day before your planned shift to let you know you can take the day off.
Flexible - hours are based on your availability and other factors.
