Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust are currently seeking a dynamic, self-motivated systems administrator to join the busy Health & Safety Team.
The Health & Safety Team support all care groups and corporate services Trust wide. At the heart of what we do are the people we support, who are actively and meaningfully involved in their own departmental services.
The Department was formed in 2012 and now supports around 7,000 people a year across the three main sites. Our work falls into five principal services:
1. Health
2. Safety
3. Moving and Handling
4. Audit
5. Service Improvement and Business Support
The administration section of the department underpins the five main services undertaking administration and support services to enable the departmental specialist advisors to continue with their work.
This customer facing role requires excellent interpersonal and telephone skills, the role includes interaction with internal staff, external agencies and our partners and occasionally members of the public.
Main duties of the job
Maintain and update the various databases and departmental systems in accordance with the Trust policies, procedures, and requirements.
Review Datix incidents and follow departmental SOP’s including the shared inbox.
Arrange call outs and schedule maintenance visits as required.
Review safety related incident reports, request additional information on behalf of the Head of Service.
To provide efficient administrative and clerical assistance to the Head of Service, but under direction to work as part of the wider service.
Raise and receipt orders for goods and services as required.
To remain calm and work efficiently in a changing environment. Dealing with a wide variety of tasks simultaneously, within time constraints and organisational needs whilst maintaining an effective administrative service.
To deal efficiently and effectively with a wide range of enquiries from within and outside the NHS whilst promoting and developing good relationships and a positive image.
