Degree Apprenticeship in BEng (Hons) Electrical and Electronic Engineering As a Process Engineer (Degree Apprentice Electrical) you will join the team responsible for the silicon wafer fabrication processes, tools and techniques involved in the manufacture of our growing family of semiconductor products for our worldwide markets. You will develop, implement, sustain and improve the semiconductor processes. Identifying and implementing new process and metrology tools, working closely with our process and product development teams to ensure the continued growth and success of our product portfolio. Key Areas of Development Develop, maintain and support wafer fabrication processes, focusing on Process capability, Quality and Electrical yield. Develop and execute auditable instructions and procedures that enable manufacturing performance to target, process control, measurement, repeatability and ensure health & safety procedural compliance. Improve process, procedure or operator function through robust SPC, DOE, R&R, 8D, 6 Sigma or other structured techniques to show benefits in product efficiency and quality. Support the implementation of new process and manufacturing techniques, ensuring process performance aligns with both design for manufacturability and output expectations. The transfer and production implementation of new processes from development to production status as robust, capable, stable and high yielding processes. Support all manufacturing activities and ensure that all quality, customer and safety requirements are exceeded. Report against targets and goals to highlight issues and / or improvement opportunities. Leading or participating in cross functional and facility quality teams and work group activities with a view to optimising efficiency and effectiveness. Reporting against targets and goals to highlight issues and/or improvement opportunities. Be party to influencing attitudes and behaviors to ensure Process Engineering achieve the required standards. Participate in cross functional teams on Continuous Improvement Projects. Support any changes for Data collection/SPC operations. Your Level 3 subjects must include mathematics and a science subject ; for instance, A-level Mathematics and Physics or BTEC Extended Diploma in Engineering. You will attend University one day a week You should also have five GCSEs at grade C or above or grade 4 to 9 (or equivalent), including English, Mathematics and Science. If you have an HND/C in an appropriate engineering discipline, we'll consider you for entry to level HE5 of this programme, depending on the subject area of qualification and the level of maths and science that you have achieved. You may be asked to undertake additional assessment(s) to determine your suitability for the course. You may be required to attend an interview and/or provide a portfolio of work.
