Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor / Contract Manager
Mission: We have a great opportunity for the right person to join our well-established team as a Senior Quantity Surveyor with responsibility for Projects and Services in our South region. The role will particularly suit someone with experience in both a pre and post contract environment (or someone looking to develop one of these areas) who is comfortable owning projects end to end.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Providing commercial governance across your project portfolio, driving revenues and profitability, minimising risk & debt to ensure we deliver to the highest possible standard.
2. Assist the bid team with identifying commercial risk and how best to manage these at tender stage.
3. Negotiation of customer terms and conditions to ensure commercial risk is understood, mitigated and managed.
4. Acting as a trusted commercial advisor you will work with Legal, Procurement, Sales and Tendering to provide comprehensive commercial guidance to the team.
5. Hold responsibility post contract – providing commercial governance across your project portfolio.
Skills and Attributes:
1. Experience in drafting, negotiating and advising on Contractual agreements.
2. Passionate about all things commercial with numerical skills and a drive to apply these in a business environment.
3. Able to inspire and manage change in an ever-evolving environment.
4. Proactively drive career and personal development including professional certification.
5. Fluency in English is a must (written and verbal).
Education:
1. Qualified to degree level in relevant discipline (Law, Quantity Surveying or Supply Chain Management).
2. Membership to WCC or additional professional membership would be advantageous.
