Join Our Dynamic Onsite Production Team at IPL Sittingbourne!
We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for a Line Leader to become a vital part of our onsite Production Team at our Fresh Produce packing facility in Sittingbourne. If you are passionate about Production and eager to contribute to a dynamic team, this role is perfect for you!
Position Details:
Schedule: 4 on 4 off, 7am - 7pm
Location: IPL Sittingbourne - Site Based Role
Contract Type: Permanent
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead, motivate and organise an individual production line to ensure daily production targets (efficiency & yield) are achieved and customer orders are fully satisfied to the highest quality standards.
2. Ensure adherence to both company policy and all laws and regulations pertaining to Food Hygiene and Health & Safety.
3. Ensure that all finished product meets customer specifications, positive release product as required.
4. Accountable for product quality and to ensure that quality is everyone’s responsibility.
5. Complete all daily checks and documentation accurately and timely, including line safe start-up checks, handover, H&S, and Fire Register.
6. Promote a Health & Safety, quality-focused culture and monitor the work area to ensure a safe workplace and 'clean as you go' policy is maintained at all times.
7. Provide communication to all concerned as required, ensuring detailed handovers are provided.
8. Optimise the use of Company resources and comply with Company policy and procedures.
9. Deputise for the Shift Operation Leader when needed.
10. Ensure the 5s process is followed as required and drive actions for a continuous improvement environment.
11. Monitor and record weights (finished product, class 2 & waste) where required, ensuring conformity to required procedures.
12. Liaise with the packaging team to ensure all labels and packaging are ready before job is ready, avoiding downtime and loss in productivity due to incorrect labels or packaging issues.
13. Verify that any product produced is accurate against the Matrix ensuring packaging, label, and product information is correct.
What are we looking for?
1. Proven experience of working within a fast-moving environment within a produce production area.
2. Experience of leading a small team.
3. Good verbal and written communication skills.
4. Good IT skills including Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
5. Good practical skills and the ability to work quickly and methodically.
6. Excellent team working skills.
7. An awareness of Health and Safety.
8. A willingness to work flexibly.
