Sustainability Consultant
Location: Manchester, UK
A leading, sustainable design and engineering consultancy is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Sustainability Consultant to join their sustainability team based in Manchester. They work with a range of fantastic clients and have successfully delivered projects across several sectors including Commercial, Education, Healthcare, Leisure, Residential, MOD, private and public sectors. The successful candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience in sustainability consulting and conducting BREEAM assessments. It is essential to the role that the candidate has a BREEAM assessor qualification and holds a relevant degree qualification in sustainability, environmental studies, building services or a related field.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Providing expert advice to clients across all sectors on sustainability policies, regulations, and best practices.
2. Developing and implementing sustainability strategies, management plans and action plans for clients.
3. Supporting the delivery of sustainability certifications such as BREEAM/LEED/WELL.
4. Conducting life cycle analysis of buildings using One-Click LCA and carbon reports.
5. Developing sustainability-related reports, presentations and technical documentation.
6. Helping train and advise junior consultants on sustainability matters.
Requirements:
1. Minimum of 2 years of experience in sustainability consulting.
2. Relevant degree qualification in sustainability, environmental studies, building services or a related field.
3. Qualifications in BREEAM, LEED, One-Click LCA etc. are desired.
4. Strong project management skills and ability to lead and manage projects from inception to completion.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build relationships with clients and stakeholders.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, liaising with members of the engineering, design and digital team.
7. Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex problems.
