Reports to: Head of Innovation
Role Overview: The Senior Specification Engineer will provide technical and CAD support to Engineering Consultants, Contractors and Asset owners for all Infrastructure Products Europe businesses. Create detailed designs of buried cable routes and utilities (AutoCAD) utilising IPE products.
Work with design engineers and contractors to refine and optimise existing designs.
Liaise with the IPE Commercial teams to provide technical and product support.
Build upon and expand the current IPE BIM/Digital Construction Library.
Engage with CAD platforms to ensure IPE products are industry-recognised.
Monthly reporting to the Commercial Department.
Meet all financial performance objectives for area of responsibility and take corrective action as needed.
Advise on installation and industry best practice with regards to IPE Products.
Guide and lead contractors with installation instructions.
Continuously monitor industry trends and best practices related to specification development and implementation.
Participate in meetings with clients to discuss specifications, address concerns, and provide updates on project status.
Experience, Training & Essential Criteria:
A background in Autodesk AutoCAD, ideally Revit and/or Civil 3D.
Experienced in designing and specifying underground utilities and services within civil engineering projects.
Knowledge of Structural Engineering Standards.
Proven track record of delivering high-quality work within established timelines and budget constraints.
Civil Engineering degree, BEng(Hons), Meng (Hons), or equivalent.
A minimum of 3 years working within a civil engineering design environment
