We’re recruiting a Health and Safety Advisor to join a well-established Utilities and Civil Engineering organisation with a varied portfolio of projects in the Northwest. You’ll support operational teams across Cumbria, playing a key role in the maintenance and upgrade of essential infrastructure. This is a hands-on, field-based role with the flexibility to manage your own diary and influence safety culture across a broad range of work activities and projects. You’ll be part of a wider experienced health, safety, environment and quality team, reporting into an experienced Health and Safety Manager, and engaging daily with operational colleagues and contractors on site. Key duties of the Health and Safety Advisor: Deliver safety support across a wide range of infrastructure sites in Cumbria. Maintain strong relationships with operational teams and contractors. Conduct audits, inspections, and site-based interventions. Provide guidance on HSG47, working at height, and other key risk areas. Input into safety initiatives and behavioural improvements across projects. Monitor and report on safety performance and compliance.
