Role Description: We are a leading Mechanical & Electrical specialist supporting projects within the transport sector, including Railway, Aviation, and Highways. We are currently seeking a Senior Air Conditioning Engineer to work on a critical contract for the London Underground Network. This is a full-time, on-site role involving night shifts from Sunday to Thursday, 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM, with 1-in-4 call-out coverage. The role focuses on installation, maintenance, and repair of air conditioning systems, including reactive fault-finding, pressure leak testing, and compressor changes on split systems.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Installation: Carry out professional installation of split air conditioning units and associated systems.
2. Reactive Maintenance & Repairs: Identify and resolve faults, perform pressure leak testing, and replace compressors on split systems.
3. Preventative Maintenance: Ensure all systems are operating at optimal performance through scheduled checks and repairs.
4. Compliance: Adhere to health and safety standards specific to the London Underground environment.
5. Documentation: Maintain accurate service records and detailed reports for each job.
6. Teamwork: Collaborate with other engineers and project teams to meet contract requirements.
Qualifications & Skills:
1. Mandatory Certifications:
o NVQ Level 2 in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration.
o F-Gas (Category 1).
2. Experience:
o Proven track record in HVAC system installation, maintenance, and repair, with expertise in split systems.
o Experience working in transport infrastructure environments (e.g., rail, aviation, highways) is advantageous.
3. Skills:
o Strong problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.
o Excellent communication and customer service skills.
o Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
