Within this role, you will:
* Work as part of a DevOps team to deliver environments and tools to support the development and testing of features by Scrum teams.
* Automate the provisioning of platforms such as Apigee, Oracle, CloudPak for Integration and OpenShift with a different configuration for different environments.
* Setup and configure tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, Artifactory, SonarCube and performance/security/resilience testing tools.
* Create automated processes for development teams to apply continuous integration and continuous testing approaches.
The following skills and experience are required for this role:
* Working knowledge of cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS
* Working experience in developing CI/CD pipelines, preferably using Drone or similar tooling
* Working experience of (IaC) Infrastructure as Code, specifically Terraform
* Working experience of Containerisation (Docker) and Container Orchestration (Kubernetes utilising Helm)
* Experience line managing Engineers, and the associated mentoring and training of up and coming Engineers
* Strong coding skills in languages such as Python, Bash, Ruby or Go
* Experience working in an Agile Delivery Team (preferability experience of Scrum/Kanban methodologies)
* DevSecOps: Understanding of DevSecOps principles and experience implementing security practices into the CI/CD pipeline.
Set yourself apart:
* Working knowledge in Kafka cluster (preferably on MSK AWS platform.
* Experience developing software with at least one common programming language (preferably Java and/or Python)
* Knowledge of foundational Software Engineering technologies such as TDD (Cucumber), Unit Testing (JUnit), Linting, and Software Frameworks (Spring)
