Te Tūranga - The Role
We are looking for a Critical Incident Manager to join our team at Tait Communications. In this role, you will be responsible for end-to-end Critical Incident Management, ensuring timely resolution and restoration of customer services. You will manage and interact with multiple technology groups, both internal and external, to provide critical support for public safety, transportation, and utility customers.
The duties of the role will include:
* End-to-end responsibility for Critical Incident Management and Post Incident Review processes.
* Managing Critical/Major incidents (P1/P2) across multiple domains, including third-party integrations.
* Driving the Technical Bridge across multiple teams (Radio, Core, Backhaul Microwave, IP L2/L3) to ensure resolution within SLAs.
* Leading Management Bridge activities, preparing action plans, and keeping incidents under control.
* Providing timely updates to management, customers, and internal stakeholders.
* Coordinating incident reports, dashboards, and improvement strategies.
* Ensuring continuous improvement of Incident Management policies, procedures, and efficiency.
* Supporting Disaster Recovery activities and Emergency Service Agency operations.
Ō pūkenga - About You
To be successful in this role, you will have an Engineering Degree or Technicians Certificate in Telecommunications.
You will also have:
* Certification in ITIL (minimum ITIL V3 Foundations; & ITIL 4).
* Minimum of 5 years of cross-domain technical experience in Land Mobile (P25/DMR) or Cellular Telecommunications (Radio, Access, and Core Domain).
* Minimum of 5 years of experience working with ITIL Framework and experience with Emergency Event management.
* Ability to work 24/7 shift roster, including up to 12-hour shifts.
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills.
* Ability to manage relationships with government agencies, partners, and third-party vendors.
