Job Summary - Pateley Bridge Office
We are seeking a semi-senior Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 6 years of experience in an accountancy practice and have gained their AAT status. They will be responsible for assisting with financial record-keeping and administrative tasks to support the accounting department and directors.
The candidate must have a strong knowledge of producing Limited company accounts, CT600s, Companies House forms, and filing IXBRL accounts. A good understanding of personal tax is also essential.
The salary will be competitive and dependent on experience.
Duties
* Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software such as Sage, Xero, and Excel.
* Prepare financial accounts/reports, including balance sheets and income statements for all types of businesses from sole traders/partnerships to small medium companies, including FRS102/FRS105 Accounting reporting requirements.
* Have a good knowledge of personal and corporate taxes.
* Preparation and submission of VAT returns.
* Assist with payroll processing.
* Reconcile bank statements and monitor financial transactions.
Qualifications
* AAT/ATT or equivalent.
* Proficiency in accounting software like QuickBooks, Sage, Xero.
* Previous experience in an accountancy practice is essential - minimum 6 years.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
* Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
* Support will be given for any training requirements with AAT/ATT/ACCA/ICAEW.
