The Opportunity
Firefly SE, a leading Swedish company specializing in fire detection solutions, is looking for an Area Sales Manager to take full ownership of our UK & Ireland customer base. This is a key role where you will be at the forefront of our regional sales efforts, working closely with distributors and key accounts to drive business success.
What You’ll Be Doing:
1. Managing and being fully accountable for all customer accounts within the UK/Ireland region
2. Developing strong relationships with distribution partners across the UK
3. Identifying and targeting new key accounts in line with company objectives
4. Frequently travelling to visit prospects and customers (50% of your time)
5. Representing Firefly SE at industry exhibitions as an exhibitor or delegate
6. Delivering impactful presentations on our company and products
7. Collaborating with our European teams and Swedish HQ to ensure seamless operations
What You Bring to the Role:
1. Education & Experience: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (or a related field) and 10+ years of experience in Key Account Management, Business Development, or a similar role in international sales
2. Sales & Technical Acumen: A proven track record of customer relationship management and leading technical development projects
3. Communication Skills: Ability to articulate complex technical concepts to a diverse range of stakeholders
4. Agile Mindset: Experience working in fast-paced, global environments with tight deadlines
5. Independent and team-oriented – able to thrive in both settings
6. Open-minded, collaborative, and always looking for ways to improve
7. Technically curious, eager to learn, and adaptable to new technologies
8. Detail-oriented with a keen eye for precision
9. Energised by meeting new people and building lasting relationships
10. Extroverted, dynamic, and comfortable in front of an audience
11. Flexible and adaptable – ready to navigate shifting priorities
