You’ll be leading a team of Specialist Assessors who make sure exam access arrangements are awarded fairly and on time. You’ll need to be meticulous, collaborative, efficient, tactful and thorough. But above all, you’ll care deeply about creating a learning environment where every student has what they need to succeed.
This role combines being the Specialist Assessor for the College Assessment Team, as well as being an Implementation Advisor. You’ll:
1. lead a team of Specialist Assessors to ensure exam access arrangements are awarded accurately and on time
2. screen and assess students for exam access needs in line with JCQ guidelines, making sure you keep up to date with changes in JCQ regulations
3. manage student referrals and support teaching staff with exam arrangements
4. deliver training and share your expertise with staff across the college
5. lead, support and challenge a team of Specialist Assessors
You’ll need to be…
1. thorough, meticulous, with a real eye for detail
2. proactive, organised and methodical
3. passionate about supporting students
4. experienced at assessing students for exam access arrangements – you may even have delivered staff training on this
5. a great communicator with excellent IT skills
6. a qualified Level 7 Assessor
We also want to hear from you if you have a teaching qualification or a degree or equivalent.
