The Role –Greenstreets is seeking a Junior Environmental Packaging EPR Consultant to join our team in the UK. This position offers a hybrid working model, based in Birmingham area, and will involve the management of client data and specific projects aimed at ensuring our clients' legal compliance with environmental regulations. This role provides an exciting opportunity to work on UK EPR projects, gaining a thorough understanding of data acquisition and data management best practices. As this is new and evolving legislation within the UK, the role will grow and develop in tandem.
Some travel within the UK may be required, along with attendance at meetings (2-3 times per year) at the company's head office in Dublin, Ireland.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in an office environment, with a working knowledge of Office 365 applications (particularly Excel and Word). We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented professional who is passionate about environmental sustainability and has a proven capability to effectively assist clients in meeting their environmental and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Customer relationship management on nominated accounts
* Collecting EPR (Extended Producer Responsibility) data and preparing Bi-Annual data submissions on behalf of clients
* Taking responsibility for clients as designated by the senior staff for client data requests and incoming client queries, from initial contact to closure.
* Following regulatory changes related to UK Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) and ensure compliance with evolving requirements, providing guidance and recommendations to the teams as needed
* Ensuring project learnings are captured and shared in-house to improve organisational knowledge.
Key Skills & Competencies
* A minimum of 2+ years’ experience within an office environment is required
* A degree in an environmental-related discipline or equivalent is desirable
* Intermediate to Advanced – Office 365 training (incl. Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
* Attention to detail
* Outstanding organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
* Excels at customer service and client services
* Learns quickly and has strong problem-solving skills
* Works well independently and within a team
