About the Role
We're looking for experienced and dedicated Senior Care Assistants to join our team. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a key role in leading and supporting the care team, ensuring that residents receive the highest standard of care in a safe and homely environment. You'll support both residents and colleagues, helping to maintain a positive, respectful, and caring atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality, person-centred care - Assist residents with daily living, including personal care, mobility support, and emotional well-being.
Lead by example - Provide guidance and support to care assistants, ensuring best practices are followed.
Administer medications - Safely manage and administer medication in line with company policies and procedures.
Support residents' well-being - Monitor residents' health, identify changes in condition, and communicate effectively with nurses and healthcare professionals.
Maintain a safe and homely environment - Assist with light cleaning tasks to ensure a comfortable, welcoming space for residents.
Record-keeping and reporting - Maintain accurate care records and communicate updates to management and healthcare professionals.
What We're Looking For
Previous experience in a care role - A background in social care is essential.
SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards it).
Experience in medication administration is desirable.
Leadership skills - Ability to support and mentor care assistants.
A compassionate, patient, and professional approach.
