Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and vigilant Door Supervisor to ensure the safety and security of our guests, staff, and premises. The ideal candidate will be friendly and approachable, have strong situational awareness, excellent customer service skills, a team player and the ability to de-escalate conflicts effectively.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide a professional and welcoming presence at the hotel entrance.
2. Conduct ID checks and enforce licensing regulations where applicable.
3. Manage and de-escalate potential conflicts or disturbances calmly and professionally.
4. Ensure a safe and secure environment for guests and staff by adhering to safety procedures.
5. Work closely with hotel management and local authorities when necessary.
6. Conduct regular security checks around the premises.
7. Assist guests with inquiries and provide exceptional customer service.
8. Respond promptly to any security incidents or emergencies.
Requirements & Skills
1. At least 2 years of experience in a fast-paced, city centre bar or hotel where exceptional service and quality are key.
2. Must possess a valid SIA Door Supervisor License along with First Aid training.
3. Flexible to work late shifts, including weekends, with availability until 2 AM on Fridays and Saturdays.
4. Knowledge of health & safety regulations.
5. Understanding of licensing laws and venue regulations.
6. Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality or nightlife industry is essential.
7. Strong observational and problem-solving skills.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
9. Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations effectively.
10. A professional and approachable demeanour.
11. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
