Approach Personnel are working in partnership with a leading, 5* new homes developer who are seeking to find an Assistant Site Manager on a permanent basis to work on a brand new, 350+ units.
Principal accountabilities of the role include:
1. Support in the management of the day to day running of the development and provide clear direction to those working on the construction site regarding their responsibilities and targets.
2. Assist with the implement health and safety procedures.
3. Motivate, support, and manage directly employed site staff, providing toolbox talks, training, coaching, and support as required to improve performance.
4. Ensure site presentation is always maintained at the correct standard.
5. Support the Site Manager in delivering all aspects of production requirements in strict accordance with relevant technical and planning documentation.
6. Fully conform to building regulations and warranty providers' requirements (NHBC, LABC Services).
7. Ensure that adequate site records are maintained including but not limited to Site Managers reports, labour requirements, plant, materials, site inductions and health and safety records.
8. Thoroughly inspect and ensure any remedial work is completed in advance of each NHBC key stage inspection.
Experience, Qualifications and Skills:
1. Experience of working as an Assistant Site Manager with a high-volume residential house builder.
2. Experience of effectively managing teams.
3. Up to date knowledge of health and safety and building legislation.
4. CSCS card.
5. SMSTS certificate.
6. First Aid certificate.
7. Construction Management - HNC Level 4, HND.
8. Valid Scaffold Appreciation certificate is desirable.
