Construction Manager Role

Our client provides a turnkey solution to both residential and commercial projects, due to continued growth they are looking to expand the team. The successful candidate will bring a wealth of knowledge and have a can-do attitude, an understanding of working within small businesses and having to get stuck in would be advantageous.
The role would suit someone that is looking to progress their career and head up a department and look after projects from conception to completion. Ideally you will have an extensive network of both potential clients and sub-contractors that you can draw on for future projects.
The role:
Collaborating with clients, architects, colleagues to develop project strategies and designs.
Planning, scheduling, and coordinating all project activities to ensure timely and efficient execution.
Reporting project progress and budget matters to clients, keeping them informed every step of the way.
Preparing and negotiating timetables, cost estimates, budgets, and contracts to ensure smooth project execution.
Managing the construction process and supervising all on-site activities, effectively responding to any delays or challenges that may arise.
Ensuring compliance with legal requirements, safety regulations, and building codes.
Facilitating the procurement of equipment and materials, efficiently managing their use throughout the project.
Hiring and instructing sub-contractors, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
Enforcing health and safety procedures on site.
Who you are:
Strong leadership and communication skills
Excellent organisation and problem-solving abilities
Extensive construction knowledge and attention to detail
Time and resource management expertise
Negotiation and contract management proficiency
Experience working in a business who provides refurbishment/ extensions/new builds in the residential sector
Full UK driving license
SSSTS/SMSTS
Project Management qualification would be desirable but not essential
Ideally you will be available imminently, PAYE/Self Employed options are both available and our client is flexible with moving forward.
£45k-£50k per year
