Nursery Nurse
Job Description
My Client, a private Children's Nursery in Windsor are currently looking for a Level 3 qualified Nursery Nurse for their 2-3yrs room. This nursery has a capacity for around 70 children and this role is for 45 hours a week.
The ideal candidate will need to have a Level 3 early years qualification and previous experience as a Nursery Nurse or Nursery Assistant would be an advantage. Whether to are a newly qualified Nursery Nurse or have years of experience, working in this setting would certainly by a great career opportunity for you.
Nursery Nurse duties and responsibilities include:
1. Feeding suitable meals, snacks and drink
2. Changing nappies or helping with potty/toilet training
3. Teaching general life skills, such as basic hygiene and manners
4. Working with any health and social care professionals, where necessary, and undertaking any relevant admin/paperwork
Nursery Nurse Requirements:
5. Level 3 qualification or higher in Early Years qualification
6. Good interpersonal skills and an ability to be organised and efficient
7. The ability to support trainees through mentoring and coaching
8. Acting as Key-worker and to observe
9. A working knowledge of the Children’s Act.
10. Good communication skills both with children and parents
11. Ability to form good interactions with children and use own initiative
