If so, this could be your next career move About the Role: As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, integration, and implementation of advanced electric drive systems into a variety of customer applications. Working within a multi-disciplinary engineering team, you will take ownership of system development, technical specifications, and project delivery, ensuring high-quality results on time and within budget. Key Responsibilities: Develop product solutions suitable for various customer systems, ensuring safety and compliance. Define system requirements, goals, and targets, ensuring smooth integration across motors, controllers, and software. Lead customer projects from concept to completion, ensuring delivery on time, to cost, and to quality. Provide mentorship and coaching to system engineers, fostering professional development. Support international customer projects with occasional overseas travel. Implement continuous improvement processes, ensuring efficiency in system integration and testing. Maintain regulatory compliance with UK and international standards. Skills & Experience Required: Essential: Degree or higher in Engineering (or equivalent experience). Proven experience in system engineering, requirements management, and change control. Strong understanding of CAN protocol and debugging. Experience in electric drive systems, battery management, and harness development. Strong mechanical background with a focus on safety and compliance. Project management experience, managing multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent problem-solving, planning, and organisational skills. Strong IT skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MRP software. Full UK driving licence with ability to travel for business purposes.Desirable: Chartered Engineer status. Experience in hybrid vehicle systems and conversion projects. Previous work in automotive, off-road vehicles, or drivetrain development. Why Apply?
