Randstad C&P are recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Engineer for a role covering Scotland's central belt.
In this role, you will optimise factory operations by resolving breakdowns and ensuring maintenance is delivered on schedule. You will also drive improvements in machinery, hygiene, quality, and performance across the site.
Salary: Competitive (up to £40,000 per annum)

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all reactive and proactive maintenance activities across the site, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and adherence to the highest quality standards.
2. Liaise with management on ongoing and required maintenance works, effectively managing maintenance work orders from various departments.
3. Perform routine and Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) on machinery, including filling equipment, tanks (including newmatic tanks), and conveyors, ensuring timely completion and a proactive maintenance approach.
4. Respond promptly to maintenance calls, prioritise issues, delegate tasks, and attend to plant and machinery breakdowns as needed.
5. Monitor equipment performance, implement improvement initiatives for machinery and site operations, and deliver on plant up-time and maintenance KPIs.
Requirements:
1. Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience, preferably in a regulated environment with GMP standards.
2. Recognised formal engineering qualifications (NVQ Level 3 or higher in electrical/plumbing or mechanical engineering; HNC/HND preferred).
3. Experience with electrical and mechanical fault-finding and repair.
4. Knowledge of three-phase motor drives and production equipment.
5. PLC fault-finding experience is desirable but not essential.
6. 16th/18th Edition certification is desirable but not mandatory.
7. Excellent problem-solving and team-working skills.
8. Strong organisational and efficiency skills with the ability to work independently.
