My client is looking for an experienced multiskilled maintenance engineer to join their engineering team. They are a leading manufacturer of specialist products used globally. The engineer will work day shift from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, with experience in electrical, mechanical, and PLC fault finding, as well as PPM and reactive maintenance on automated machinery and associated equipment.
Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer Role:
Reporting to the Lead Engineer, the successful Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for:
1. Carrying out routine scheduled maintenance work and responding to equipment faults.
2. Updating and monitoring of jobs, PM's, and stock on the Engineering system.
3. Sending updates weekly on works carried out.
4. Designing maintenance strategies, procedures, and methods.
5. Diagnosing breakdown problems.
6. Fitting new parts and ensuring equipment is working correctly.
7. Liaising with all departments, suppliers, subcontractors, and other engineering and production colleagues.
8. Arranging specialist procurement of fixtures, fittings, or components.
9. Controlling maintenance tools, stores, and equipment.
10. Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety legislation.
11. Assisting in writing maintenance strategies with the Lead Maintenance Engineer.
12. Assisting with the installation and commissioning of plant and equipment.
13. Attending Production/Engineering meetings when required.
14. Undertaking facilities/electrical maintenance work when required.
15. Working alongside production and production management.
Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer Requirements:
1. Educated to a relevant electrical/mechanical qualification or apprentice trained.
2. Multiskilled engineering background.
3. PLC fault finding experience.
4. Fabrication and machining experience.
Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer Package:
Salary: £40k - £45k
