You must be a great communicator with a can-do attitude What will life as a Loader in the gategroup Team look like for you. £12.93 per hour Overtime 1.25 times the hourly rate 4 on 2 off pattern 04:00 - 12:00, 15:00 - 23:00 Inhouse training and development i.e. obtaining a LGV licence after 1st year of service Complimentary meals & beverages Free Uniform Company sick pay Free on-site parking Paid Holiday Regular shift patterns Pension scheme to help you save for your future Bespoke employee support programme, including free counselling sessions Refer a friend scheme with generous bonuses for each successful referral Access to a great discount platform, saving you money on everyday purchases and so much more Cycle to work scheme Main Duties & Responsibilities To load and unload food and equipment as directed by the allocator, ensuring that no customer complaints are received To ensure that loads are distributed securely, and to be responsible for any load carried, and ensure it is signed for at the point of collections To fully comply with and be responsible for all gate gourmet and customer security procedures and process To adhere to all Heath safety and hygiene requirements, including using the correct kinetic lifting and carrying techniques Drive a van as and when required / directed Carry out daily checks of the vehicle and report any defects using appropriate forms Fully comply with and to be responsible for all Gate Gourmet and customer security procedures and property To report all accidents and take the necessary preventative action To be able to communicate effectively both verbally and non-verbally at all levels To ensure that relevant entries are made in the diary log and that the log is checked at the beginning of each shift To be totally flexible within the role Carry out quality checks with improvement action when required Assist in follow-up of Quality Assurance/Health & Safety reports To take on any other duties as and when required Education GCSE passes in English and Maths (or equivalent) Work Experience Must hold a current and clean driving license Good standard of English both written and verbal Previous experience in a similar role Experience of working in a fast-paced deadline driven environment Skills & Knowledge Good understanding of English both reading and writing Good Customer service skills Positive attitude to work Able to work to tight deadlines Team worker Previous experience in a catering or hospitality role is desirable but not essential. You must be able to work shifts and be keen to learn. In addition to job - related training, you will develop your skills in team work, time management, multi-tasking, communication and attention to detail.
