As an Account Manager at Ride Shotgun, you'll closely manage projects, focusing on time, costs, and resources for profitable delivery. You will play a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day aspects of client projects, ensuring they are executed efficiently within established timelines, budgets, and resource constraints. You will have a strong emphasis on project management excellence, client satisfaction, and contributing to the overall profitability of each project. Additionally, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate project details and deliver high-quality work that aligns with both client expectations and our internal quality standards.
What are the key responsibilities?
* Provide a consistently high level of service to our clients, owning the management and development of the client accounts for which you are responsible, from an admin, organisational and financial management point of view, supported by an Account Executive as appropriate.
* Act as the key contact on client accounts, consistently delivering a highly responsive service to clients and ensuring that requirements are dealt with promptly and efficiently.
* Actively and visibly brief in, sell in and safeguard creative, working closely with the Creative team to deliver the best possible creative solutions.
* Manage and carry out all project admin tasks with support from Execs where applicable, to include the management of status sheets, contact reports, timing plans and other relevant documentation.
* Proactively challenge client briefs, and if required, lead clients in the development of the campaign brief and overall strategy.
* Take an active role in the development and implementation of client development plans, ensure these are up to date with relevant client and project information, deliver action points as required and review progress with the AD/ACSD on a regular basis.
* Manage projects effectively and efficiently from brief through to completion, with the highest standards of client servicing, communication and professionalism.
* Produce a written brief for all pieces of work, supplying all relevant background information and key insights, and manage the briefing process – confirming client/internal sign off of briefs before briefing internally.
* Provide clients with a clear timing plan, and supply updates as necessary; track schedules, anticipate and address any issues with timings/deadlines.
* Ensure all work is checked and proof-read, and if relevant is signed off internally, before it is shared with the client.
* Ensure you have a sound understanding of the Ride Shotgun Business Objectives and are able to apply this in your day-to-day work.
* Contribute to all internal governance meetings, including Account Management, Sales and WIP meetings.
* Ensure appropriate purchase orders are obtained from client prior to ordering and all financial administrative tasks are completed throughout the project lifecycle.
* Assist in the development of new business opportunities and contribute to the new business conversion process as required – this may involve meeting with prospective clients, developing presentation content and costs, and/or being part of the pitch team.
What skills are required?
* Solid agency experience is essential.
* 2+ years as an Account Manager/Senior Account Executive with strong brand and marketing experience.
* Confident communication is essential to present work to clients and team members.
* The flexibility to work with a wide range of sectors in both B2B and B2C.
* Attention to detail and the urge to drive projects forward essential.
