EY is seeking a Consultant to join our Finance Modelling team within our UK Financial Services Consulting business. With some experience of delivering financial models using Anaplan, the successful Consultant will be part of a team that delivers finance transformation projects for our FTSE 100 clients.
We are looking for a highly motivated, professional Consultant who is passionate about their work and will contribute to the continued success of our growing team. This role would be a great match for a graduate from a relevant field (Maths, Economics, Computer Science, etc.).
The Opportunity
As a Consultant within our Finance Consulting team, you will specialise in Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) across Banking, Capital Markets, and Insurance, working closely with our Finance clients. You will assist the leadership team in driving client engagements and provide insights to support our clients in making decisions about their business. You will contribute to the growth and success of the practice, working alongside some of the most highly regarded professionals within the Financial Services industry.
Our Finance Consulting team operates from our offices in London or Edinburgh, and we prefer someone to be based in Edinburgh. As part of a global organisation, the role may involve working with our UK and Global Financial Service clients, which could require travel and international assignments.

Your Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Drive FP&A projects by working as part of a high-performing team, participating in client meetings and workshops, assessing engagement risks, and assisting in driving conclusions for our clients.
* Work with colleagues or counterparts in client organisations to understand data requirements and associated calculation logic, translating data and calculation requirements into model designs.
* Develop financial planning models including prototype builds, product releases, testing, and business integration.
* Drive development of dashboards, visualisation, and analytical solutions.
* Provide training, knowledge transfer, and support post go-live.
* Work on EY modelling assets for new market opportunities.
* Encourage Finance innovation and lead new and improved ways of working, delivery models, and technological advancements.
* Work with Managers to understand financial and contractual management of client engagements, including managing margins, scope, and statements of work.
* Provide quality assurance, monitor risks, assist in managing assignment teams and third parties, and liaise with service line teams and functional specialists.
* Develop strong internal networks and build client relationships.
* Share knowledge and experience, leading EY points of view, development of solutions, engagement tools, and accelerators.
* Contribute to your development and the team's technical skills by demonstrating inclusive behaviours and establishing a culture of high-performing teams.
* Stay updated with industry news and developments to support business development opportunities and solutions.

* Experience with mathematical modelling.

To Qualify for the Role You Must Have Some or All of the Following:
Beneficial professional experience includes work experience across Financial Services (banking, insurance, wealth and asset management):
* Experience within the Finance function, with understanding of planning, budgeting, forecasting, and related management reporting including dashboarding and visualizations.
* Experience of business and Finance transformation across the FP&A lifecycle (planning, budgeting, forecasting, enterprise-wide reporting framework, profitability, cost analysis, etc.).
Qualifications
* Academic degree qualification in a relevant discipline (Computer Science, Maths, Economics, or other IT-related degree).
* First-class university degree or 2:1 (or equivalent) is desirable but not compulsory.
* Desire to complete accounting qualifications (ACA, ACMA, ACCA, CIMA).
