Job summary Are you keen to step into a leadership role and support a team to develop in a in-patients setting? We are looking for a physiotherapist to support the patients on the adult wards in the Whiteleaf Centre in Aylesbury, and support the Professional Lead Physiotherapist with service development. You will be working with a diverse, supportive multi-disciplinary team, and have support from the Professional Lead Physiotherapist for Mental Health, and will have responsibility to support physiotherapy assistants and students. You will be providing physiotherapy input to the 4 adult wards at the Whiteleaf Centre in Aylesbury. Assessing and treating patients with complex long term neurological conditions, MSK conditions and mobility difficulties. Supporting physical activity on the wards along with the Physical Fitness Practitioner and Physiotherapy Technical Instructors. Main duties of the job To provide physiotherapy assessment, intervention and advice to patients on the adult mental health wards at the Whiteleaf Centre in Aylesbury. To manage and prioritise own caseload. To support the Multi-disciplinary team to provide holistic care to patients, including formal and informal teaching and guidance. To support and lead on audits, and quality improvement projects. To provide clinical supervision/education to more junior staff and students. To ensure safe and appropriate use of mobility and gym equipment. To support the development, implementation and evaluation of local protocols and guidelines The ability to travel independently between sites within the Trust is essential for this role.
