As a Finance Business Partner, you will play a pivotal role in driving financial and commercial performance by supporting budget holders, delivering insightful analysis, and improving management reporting. This role offers exposure to all aspects of accounting, giving you the opportunity to shape your career in a direction that best suits you.
You will be a qualified accountant with excellent prior experience in Finance Business Partnering or client services such as external auditing. The role is based in Glasgow operating on a hybrid working model.
Key Responsibilities:
* Partnering with budget holders to provide financial insights and strategic support by producing and interpreting management reports.
* Conducting profit and loss reviews and variance analysis, you will also manage budgeting and reforecasting processes.
* Playing a key role in month-end and year-end deliverables through ensuring general ledger accuracy, including journal preparation and balance sheet reconciliations
* Assisting with financial statements and audit deliverables, you will also support ad-hoc finance projects and generally support non-BAU activities.

You should have:
* Qualifications: ACCA, CA, or CIMA qualified. You must be a professionally qualified accountant.
* IT Skills: Strong digital skills, particularly in Excel but you will have exposure to accounting software and analysis tools.
* Experience: Prior business partnering experience is preferred but you may also have experience of client services such as an audit or other role in the accounting profession.
* Mindset: A problem-solving approach with the ability to identify and act on opportunities, you will be the sort of person who thrives on supporting budget holders.
