As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a vital role in the day-to-day financial operations of the business. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring smooth processing of transactions, and supporting the wider finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to further their career in accounting within a supportive and collaborative environment.
On a day to day basis your responsibilities will include:
- Processing invoices, payments, and expense claims accurately and efficiently.
- Reconciling bank statements and maintaining accurate financial records.
- Assisting with monthly management accounts and reporting.
- Supporting the preparation of VAT returns and payroll processing.
- Handling supplier and customer queries in a professional manner.
- Maintaining the integrity of the accounting system and ensuring compliance with financial policies.
The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a strong ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. You should be an excellent communicator, both written and verbal, and have a genuine enthusiasm for working in a finance team. In addition, it is essential that you have previous experience in a similar accounts role alongside possession of excellent numerical and IT skills.
