Job Title: Office Manager
Grade: SO1 to SO2 (Actual Salary £35,620 to £40,501)
Hours: 39.5 hours per week, full time, all year round
Fixed term until 22nd June 2026

Role:
You will work closely with the Academy Business Manager and Operations Manager, and will be responsible for assisting with the planning, development, and management of key administrative and organisational processes within the school office.
Purpose of Job:
You will be responsible for the administrative operation of the school office ensuring the academy has an effective, supportive and responsive administrative support service. This includes carrying out daily cover arrangements; academy admissions; and coordinating educational visits.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Managing the administrative operations of the school office to ensure the Academy has an effective and supportive administrative support service.
2. Contributing to the planning, development and organisation of administrative systems, procedures, and policies.
3. Liaising with the Academy Business Manager, Operations Manager, and other Senior staff to ensure the provision of an effective administrative support service.
4. Managing the school reception to ensure the academy provides an efficient service and welcoming experience for all external visitors.
5. Carrying out line management and performance review duties for the office team including all office apprentices, reprographics technician and receptionists.
6. Managing and supporting office staff as needed, ensuring workloads and work streams are monitored.
7. Chairing regular team meetings with the administrative staff.
8. Managing and processing educational visits requests and providing administrative support to assist trip leaders to use Evolve in line with Leeds City Council’s requirements.
9. Updating general office procedures to reflect current practices and embrace new technologies, such as ensuring the effective use of Arbor within the academy.
10. Arranging the secure offsite storage of confidential records.
11. Managing the confidential waste contract and arranging collections.
12. Developing a resilience plan to ensure key administrative functions continue to operate during staff absences.
13. Supporting the collation and preparation of data and other management information.
