About Little Fish
Little Fish is an innovative company on a mission to deliver restaurant-quality sushi and pan-Asian cuisine to food lovers in rural communities. We believe that everyone should have access to exceptional dining experiences, regardless of their location.
Beyond the quality of our food, our point of differentiation will always be our ability to leverage modern technologies and growth strategies. This belief has led us to build an entirely owned tech stack that supports our purpose-built kitchen, delivery fleet, and partner network. As such, we're looking for someone who is excited about using these technical foundations to grow the most successful and most loved rural food platform in the UK.
Our Michelin-trained, multi-award-winning Head Chef crafts delicious dishes to bring the fine dining experience into people’s homes. We’re absolutely committed to quality in everything we do. If you are too, read on…
Job Summary
We are seeking a creative, analytical and results-driven Marketing Manager to take the lead in building our marketing function from the ground up. As a relatively new company, this role offers a unique opportunity to shape and implement comprehensive marketing strategies that enhance our brand visibility, attract and engage customers, and drive sales growth. You will have significant responsibility and the scope to grow alongside the business.
Key Responsibilities
As a new company in the early stages of our marketing journey, this will be a varied role that evolves over time. Flexibility and adaptability are required! Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Building and managing the marketing function, establishing processes and best practices that drive effective campaigns.
* Overseeing marketing initiatives across various channels, primarily performance marketing, CRM, print, partnerships and onsite sales.
* Developing strategies for both new customer acquisition, particularly with regional expansion in mind, and customer retention/repeat purchasing behaviours.
* Working with our Partner and Events team to drive this strategy forward.
* Creating engaging content that highlights our unique offerings, including blog posts, social media updates, and promotional materials. This role will take the lead in managing the content strategy, calendar and creation.
* Monitoring and reporting on the effectiveness of marketing initiatives, providing insights and recommendations for improvement to the Board of Directors. Measuring and driving efficiency and optimisation is very important.
* Conducting market research to identify trends, customer needs, and the competitive landscape; analysing data to inform decision-making.
* Managing the marketing budget and ensuring effective allocation of resources to optimise campaign performance.
Experience & Qualifications
We’re looking for someone with strong marketing experience to help us deliver best in class campaign conception and delivery. You will be able to demonstrate a strong influence, particularly in digital campaign strategy and effective post campaign reviews to ensure a shared learning of best practices.
This is a broad role, and we don’t expect candidates to be able to do it all, and support and training will be provided, both in-house and agency. Above all else, attitude is key – hunger, determination and adaptability. A few requirements:
* At least five years’ experience in a marketing function, ideally with a focus on digital marketing.
* Professional experience in the food industry would be a benefit, as would E-commerce and retail experience.
* Strong understanding of digital marketing strategies, tools, and analytics.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a knack for storytelling.
* Proficiency in using marketing software and platforms (e.g., CRM, social media management tools, email marketing software). Experience using Shopify Plus or another comparable e-commerce platform would be a benefit.
* Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data to make informed decisions; familiar with online marketing KPIs.
* Creative thinker with a passion for developing innovative marketing campaigns that drive customer engagement.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
What We Offer
* A competitive salary, in the range of £35k to £45k, depending on experience.
* A dynamic and supportive work environment where you can make a significant impact.
* Opportunities for professional development and career growth as we scale our efforts.
* Flexible working hours and location.
