Year 4 Teaching Assistant – Full-Time, Starting Easter 2025
We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to work with a Year 4 class at a school in Blackburn with Darwen. This full-time role involves supporting a child 1:1 and assisting with general classroom duties. The position starts at Easter 2025 and offers the opportunity to make a real difference in the education and development of a young learner.

Position: Year 4 Teaching Assistant (Full-Time)
Start Date: Easter 2025
Hours: 08:45 – 15:30 (with 30-minute lunch break)
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 support to a child in Year 4, assisting with their academic and personal development
* Support the class teacher with general classroom duties and preparation
* Help deliver tailored learning activities for the child and the wider class
* Assist with tracking and monitoring the child’s progress
* Support the child’s social, emotional, and behavioural development
* Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
* Provide assistance with classroom management and maintaining a focused learning atmosphere
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience working as a Teaching Assistant, ideally with primary school-aged children
* A genuine passion for supporting children’s education and development
* Ability to build strong relationships with both children and staff
* Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt to the needs of the child
* Patience, flexibility, and creativity in your approach to supporting learning
* A relevant qualification (Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification) is preferred
