We currently have an exciting new opportunity for an Operations Manager to join our manufacturing team in Stockton.

* Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality and safety standards, while managing risks and opportunities to enhance performance.
* Oversee the efficient and effective running of the workshop, ensuring optimal resource utilisation and project prioritisation.
* Lead, coach, mentor, and assess employees to enhance skills, competence, and future business capability, working closely with HR for recruitment and training.
* Implement and maintain company Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality (HSEQ) policies, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and compliance.
* Plan and oversee daily workshop activities, assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and implementing corrective actions where necessary.
* Work with other Glacier Energy Manufacturing sites to coordinate company-wide project delivery and optimise resource use.
* Ensure effective QA/QC inspection processes, resolve non-conformances efficiently, and uphold lifting practices in line with safety standards.
* Produce and review monthly and weekly KPI reports to track departmental performance and drive improvements.
* Maintain strict confidentiality and act in the best interests of the company at all times.
* Support the achievement of the company’s strategic and operational goals as part of the management team.
* At least 10 years’ experience of working in a manufacturing/fabrication environment.
* Excellent leadership skills.
* Strong financial and business acumen.
* Good working knowledge of ISO9001requirements
* Sound understanding of HSE legislation, management systems and practices.
* Sound educational background minimum HNC mechanical engineering preferred.
* Excellent interpersonal skills, communication, influencing and organisational skills.
* Team and goal oriented.
* Sound knowledge of improving efficiency and effectiveness of manpower.
* Strong analytical skills coupled with practical, hands-on problem-solving approach.
* High energy and drive.
* IT literate with specific experience using Microsoft Excel, Word & PowerPoint programs.
